Here is a basket of goodies I have up for grabs. Some of these are items I have made, the stamps in the bottom row are the new Michael's $1 stamps.. Also included are candy corn shaped playing cards (not shown--down in basket :( ), alpha stamps, and the frankie notepad. The candies in the wrapped box are Milk Duds.... Leave me a comment on this post and tell me the funniest Halloween costume you have seen or worn. When you leave your comment, please use a last name initial, or another ID. ohhhh I want blog candy!!! OK I saw THE BEST costume when we were in Las Vegas for Halloween last year. A guy -or girl? - got a huge box - at least refrigerator size and turned it upside down - so they were a box! It was too funny because everyone wanted to take "it's" picture and it would turn the box around like it was posing! Too cute!
The BEST Halloween costume I ever made and dressed up like was a Hershey's Kiss. I paper mached a wire frame in the shape of a Hershey's kiss, covered it with alluminum foil and used toilet paper for the streamer. What was so appropriate is that my maiden name is Kershey, so instead of a Hershey's Kiss, I was a Kershey's Kiss. I even won second prize!

Love this! The funniest I have seen has to be one yr was taking my kids trick or treating and sitting on the porch of a house we went to was a giant pile. of umm wurms? It looked like large rubber hoses or something hanging from their hat , clothes etc with this large Eye in the middle and they were an Amoeba. how someone thought of that is beyond me must be a science geek but was just too funny to look at!

One year many years ago I made costumes for my two younger kids--Sylvester and Tweety Bird. They turned out so dern cute and the kids loved them. Sylvester came home from trick or tearing carrying her head--the fake fur kept getting in her mouth. Other than that, they were a huge hit.
The best Halloween costume I saw was at my son's school last year. The little boy was a toilet bowl. Around his waste was the little seat and behind his back was the lid. All the kids got a great laugh however, I don't think Sister Marie was laughing!!

Hi Sarah,
I once went as a...shower. I kid you not, when I was young, my mom constructed a walking shower out of a hula hoop, shower curtain, shower head. You could see my head peeking out, complete with shower cap, and I carried the whole thing on supports that rested on my hips. How wacky is that?

Oh, these halloween treats look fablous!!!
Well I can't think of a really funny costume story. But in Party City they have black T shirts that say "Bite Me" with a picture of a bat. There was also another one that said something like "this is my costume" but I think there was more to that line. Sorry, I'm not contributing a funny story :-(
However, the cutest costume I put together as an adult had to be Raggedy Ann.
Great blog candy! The cutest costume I've seen is a blow up costume that I saw on a little boy. He was the cowboy and the blowup part with the horse...adorable!
The funniest costume I have ever seen was a guy in a working shower.....looked like a shower that would be attached to a claw foot tub, know what I mean? And he had the shower curtain and the whole thing. When people would peek in the shower, he'd start is up and they would get sprayed!

My favorite costume that I saw was one my young daughter wore years ago. She was Oscar the Grouch. We painted her face and hands green, and covered a frisbee with tin foil. She wore that on top of her head like a garbage can lid. She wore a green garbage bag with green pants. She looked great! Oscar would have been proud.

The best one I have seen were 2 kids dressed up as Bert and Ernie. they even had huge paper mache masks.. really funny!! awesome candy!

Great blog candy. Thanks for sharing. The best costume I saw was a first grade boy who had his mother wrap him in gauze and paint around the eyes black. He made a great mummy. Marybc
Believe it or not, the funniest costume I've ever worn was a pumpkin. Okay, I guess that's not funny at all. What was funny was that I had just started dating my future husband, Peter. All I kept hearing all night was "Peter, Peter, pumpkin eater". I was so embarrassed!
Love your Halloween creations!
One year I helped my SIL dress up as a tube of toothpaste, cap and all, it was great, we just did not take into account that she would have to walk and sit.
Hi! I love your blog, I have a subsciption to it on google blogreader! Anyway, the funniest costume I ever saw was a costume my hubby created last year. He went to work dressed as Charlie Brown, from the Halloween show. He had a large white sheet and glued black felt circles all over it and carried around a bag of rocks. It was hysterical!
Thanks for the chance to win some cool blog candy!

Wow, you really are in the Halloween spirit, aren't you? I made the cutest dragon costume for my spine, complete with stuffed spikes from head to tip of long tail. My son wore that costume for years while playing out on the playground. Funny kid!
Sweet Halloween Candy! I would have to pick the year I made a bunny outfit for my husband. It was so funny...no pattern except for his body! I even made booties for him. I was a puppet with ribbon hanging everywhere. Thanks for a chance.

The funniest costume I have worm was a giant apple suit. I was an apple and my husband was the farmer. Thinking back I cannot believe I wore that. I have gotten so many great ideas from your blog for Halloween. Thanks
I love your blog; I've not posted before, but I check in often.
I don't know why everyone thinks Halloween is such a funny day. When I go to work in my witch's dress, it's the one day a year, when I DON'T dress up!
My favorite costume was a snowman costume I made for my son it was really original made from a sheet sewn and then stuffed and the head was made from a paper bag...I found the idea in an old costume book in the library. Aileen R.

Cool blog candy! The best costume I ever saw, was a washing machine, complete with dirty laundry and soap. Someone had taken a cardboard box and made it into the washer, then put dirty laundry and a bottle of soap onto the top of the washer. The child was even wearing boxers on his head, to look like more dirty laundry.

I once was mcdonalds french fries for halloween. My friend was a mcdonalds milkshake! lol...
The funniest Halloween costume that I can remember was a husband and wife...the husband dressed as a "pimp" and his wife carried a garden hoe....pimp and his "ho"...get it. :) Police officers have to have a sense of humor, otherwise they would go nuts.

One of the cutest costumes I ever made for my kids was a slice of pizza and a Godfather's pizza delivery boy. My daughter was a large slice of pizza complete with cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers, and onion slices; my son was the delivery boy complete with a Godfather's delivery hat and a Godfather's shirt that had their pizza logo. He carried their take out pizza box, and we they went to the door, instead of trick or treat, they said Pizza delivery!" I know, I'm prejudice.

Oooh cool blog candy! You are so talented! I love your blog! Keep up the good work!
What fun blog candy! :) Love your blog...the funniest costume I've ever worn was one of my boss. He ALWAYS wore khaki pants with a white button-up. I swiped his old name tag, borrowed some glasses, and wore boots (just like him). True to form, he wore boots with khakis and a white button-up and we were twinkies. The office got a good chuckle...especially since he was so embarrassed! Halloween is a fun time. Thanks for the opportunity to win some cool blog candy. :)
Oooh, great blog candy!! I love your ideas. :)
The cutest costume I ever saw was last year, my neighbor's two boys went as Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat in the Hat. They were PERFECT, down to the face paint and the wigs and everything. They were so excited too.
This year, I personally will have to just wear my regular (maternity) clothes and go as a pregnant woman. LOL! Nothing else will fit by that time. My little guy is going to be a pirate though, we are looking forward to Halloween.
Thanks for all the inspiration!
cute blog candy! I actually came across a picture of myself in a Halloween costume I wore to a church young adult dance a few years ago (before I met my husband, thank goodness...LOL). I wore my jr. prom dress - a simple black velvet long sheath-thing (it was sleeveless, so I wore a turtleneck underneath). Then I stuck blank address labels, colored yellow, down the center of my dress, both front & back. I then safety-pinned some cut-outs of vehicles that I colored... Yep... I was a highway! LOL I am a super-dork... LOL :D
The funniest costume(s) I've ever seen was last year when I took my kids to show off their costumes to my parents. They are both in their late 70's and have lots of health problems, but they gave us a huge laugh when they both answered the door with mouse ears makeup to boot! It was so adorable!
a few years ago I decided to dress up as my kids were teenagers and not into it much anymore, so I wore my daughters prom dress and stuffed the top and went as a dance hall girl. the neighbor men thought it was pretty good and were asking me if I would work for a nickel or dime (catch the meaning here?)
the next year I dressed at a GM executive and didnt get the same solicitations. Most of the men work for GM in my neighborhood and I was "the boss" that night.
One year many years ago, my husband and I went as a bunch of grapes---me green and him purple. I attached tons of balloons to t-shirts. The only problem, we could not sit down.
The funniest costume I have ever seen would have to be my husbands. He spent a lot of $$ on it and wears it every year. I'm not sure what it is a cross between big foot and the grim reaper. Its crazy, he has a head piece that makes him 9 feet tall.
great blog candy! One time my friend dressed up as a bag of ballons. she put on of those large clear garmet bags and blew up small baloons and stuffed all around her on the inside. It was pretty funny to look see at the time. fawn A
Last year I went as a fat lady carrying a sign that said "Lost Puppy" and when I turned around there was a stuffed puppy stuck between my blow up buttocks & skirt - like I had sat on the puppy earlier. Everyone laughed their heads off at it.

Hi!
I work at an elementary school and last year I went as static cling (or a pile of laundry). I took a plastic rain poncho and pinned socks, tea towels etc. to it. The kids thought it was a hoot!

Great blog candy!! I LOVE candy!!
I had dressed up like Marilyn Monroe. I had this white feather boa that kept getting stepped on by people (and I can't believe the stuff they stepped in before they stepped on my boa YUCK!)And when it got stepped on it would choke me. I wasn't smart enough at the time to fold it in half or wrap it around more than once so it wasn't hitting the ground. LOL Well, I had this greasy face color tint on plus bright red lips and the wind kept blowing my boa in my face. It would stick to my lips and I was spitting feathers all night. "Trick or Treat *spit* *spit* LOL
The best adult costume I saw was a guy with a lamp shade on his head and a table that was around him. He had cut out the center of the table and had it hanging over his should by suspenders. On the table he had an alarm clock, a pair of glasses and a book. I assume that it was all glued to the table so it wouldn't fall off. The best part was when he turned around and he had a sign on his back that said "One Night Stand". We thought it was hilarious.
The funniest costume I saw was all the teachers at school dressed up like different pieces of school supplies..pencils, rulers, eraser, notebook etc. It just cracked me up.

I have to say that the funniest costume I ever saw was my dad dressed up as a ballerina! He and my mother were invited to a costume party, so he put on a blonde wig, my mom died one of his T-shirts purple to match one of my long tutus, he even went as far as to wear pink tights!!!!! Believe me he had everyone laughing at the party.

Halloween and fall in general are my favorite times of year. I would love to see a photo of your candycorn cards. Ok so that might be my favorite candy ha ha!
When I was about 9 or 10 years old, I was a refrigerator. My father was an appliance repair man (!!) and he made a refrigerator out of a box. I wore it to school for the entire day and couldn't sit down because it went from my shoulders to my knees! My parents didn't exactly think that one all the way through!

mmmmmmmm can't seem to remember the exact name, but it was those pants that seemed like a type of plastic with zippers & pockets everywhere back in the mid '80's, so needless to say I was a punk rocker sortof like how Michael Jackson dressed for that Beat It video, you get the picture, kwim?

oooh - spooky giveaway!!! I think the funniest was my friend in 1st grade...her dad dressed her in purple tights & stuck purple balloons all over her body - she was a grape like the Fruit of the Loom guy on t.v.!!

Sarah,
You have out did your self again.
one halloween when I was in 6th grade, I dressed up as a dice. My mom and I painted the box white and we painted the black dots on all the sides. We had the halloween party the first thing when school started. When the party was over, we had to go back to class. I couldn't sit down. The box was in the way and I didn't bring any clothes to change out of the costume, so I had to stand the rest of school. I did win second place in the costume contest though. Woo Hoo.
i love the candy!!!You bring inspiration to us all i am a newbie still learning its artist like you that make us want to try harder thank you for that
The best costume I ever saw? Had to be the traditional witch--just very traditional, but excellently put together.

When we were first married, I was the Statue of Liberty ( complete with green skin and a working torch) and my husband was a roll of toilet paper...Come to think of it that was 15 years ago...just before the twins were born!
The best costume I've seen for a young child was one I bought for my son when he was about 2 years old. It was a giraffe...all yellow gold and brown spots! The face was in the neck and the neck and head extended about 2 feet about my son's head, making him really tall! He was the cutest thing (of course I may be slightly prejudice!) lol!
Connie
The best costume for my son was he went as Huggly Monster. He won first prize for being the "ugliest" monster but he is actually cute. Here is a link to the Ted Arnold's books:
http://www.amazon.com/Huggly-Takes-Bath-Monster-Under/dp/0590918206
He wore green sweats, and I made a tale and turned a "bag" with plastic golf balls glued for cookie monster type eyes. I also cut out spots and the front. We put green makeup on his face. He was missing some front teeth and he was soooooo cute and funny.
Sarah - what a great give-away - cute stuff! One cute costume i've seen is a lady dressed as an M and her friend is another M so together they are M&M's. Cute! Its been fun to read the other responses!!
Beth (mommy to a busy 4yr old)
Wow, you really are celebrating Halloween. How fun.
serial/cereal killer. I wore black clothes and taped cereal boxes all over me and then added knives piercing the boxes.
This was talked about for years at my office.
