More Girlie Halloween Treats

I haven't made a sour cream container in ages. This one was made a little bigger than the traditional size. I believe I used 1/2 sheet CS. The size is perfect for filling it up with Halloween treats. I used Pioneer tape for the adhesive. The ends are crimped with Paper Adventures Lil'boss wave crimper.

Here's the recipe:
  • SU Whisper White, Pixie Pink CS
  • SU Pixie Pink, Basic Black inks
  • May Arts ribbon
  • Circle punch
  • Paper Adventures crimper
  • Pioneer tape
  • SU silver cord

Girlie Halloween Treats

So the "in" things these days are pirates and skulls. I found these cute girlie Halloween skull gems in the $1 bin of Joann's, along with a skull stamp! I have been wanting to make some of these pillow boxes. They are so much fun to give away. The adhesive I use to get a good seal on the side of the box is Pioneer tape. I'm sure that the red tape will work, but Pioneer tape is more of a clear color. I have never had any problems with it. Its the best!

Here's the recipe:

  • SU Pixie Pink and Basic Black CS
  • Skull gems and stamp from Joann's $1 bin
  • SU All Around Argyle, Batty For You, Print Pattern bkgd sets
  • SU B Black, Craft White, Pretty in Pink, and Versamark
  • SU Silver cord
  • MM tag maker supplies and rims
  • SU brads
  • unknown gems
  • Coluzzle pillow box template
  • Pioneer tape

Whippersnapper Moose

Well, I can't get away from this really great cardstock from Scenic Route. I love the colors that they used in this set. And the great thing is that the new Blue Bayou and Soft Sky go great with it!!

On this one I used crystal effects (although you cannot see it) on the glasses. I also used some black glitter glue (like stickles but from Michaels) on the music notes.

Moose card recipe:

  • Whippersnapper Moose stamp
  • Stampin Up Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Apricot Appeal, W White
  • Scenic Route CS
  • Prismacolor pencils and gamsol
  • SU B Black and Apricot Appeal inks
  • SU Font
  • Word Window Punch
  • unknown ribbon, Martha Stewart cording
  • MM brads
  • Paper Trey Faux Ribbon set
  • Cuttlebug dies
  • Turquoise stickles, black glitter glue
  • Crystal Effects

Thank You to Kristine Reynolds for pointing out that this stamp was from Whippersnapper. I must have been asleep while posting this!!

What is your element?

Your Element Is Water

A bit of a contradiction, you can seem both lighthearted and serious.
That's because you're good at going with the flow - but you also are deep.

Highly intuitive, you tune in to people's emotions and moods easily.
You are able to tap into deep emotional connections and connect with others.

You prefer a smooth, harmonious life - but you can navigate your way around waves.
You have a knack for getting people to get along and making life a little more peaceful.
This is sooo true about myself!! And the strangest part is that I'm a pisces--the water sign. LOL

Penny Black Pig

Okay, last one for the night! I really had fun with this pig! LOL The things that amuse a stamper..... :) This card I used the old Marvelous Magenta by SU! But the picture doesn't bring out the real Magenta color... Poor lighting I guess..

Anyway...Here's the recipe:

  • Stampin Up Tempting Turquoise, Marvelous magenta, Whisper White
  • Penny Black stamp
  • Cuttlebug dies and embossing folders
  • Stampin Up font
  • Prismacolor pencils and gamsol
  • Stickles
  • rhinestones
  • Ribbon by Stampin Up and May Arts

Some of you are wondering where I buy my Penny Black Stamps. I purchase them through a friend of mine. You can email Judi at judiv1@msn.com. She will order at a reduced price. Another place you can go is http://www.acountrywelcome.com/ . They sell all brands of stamps--great little online store!

Another question I have rec'd was about the stickles. Before I use stickles I color underneath. It just helps the color pop out at you! I hope this helps! If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask!!

Have a great weekend!

Piggy Thanks

Here is another card made with the Penny Black piggy stamp. I'm having alot of fun with the play on words with these cards. I hope you enjoy them too! :)

Scrapbook 2

I made this project as a gift for my mom. It includes pictures of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. (YIKES! that makes me a great aunt x 5!!).

Some of the supplies for this project include:
  • Stampin Up stamps and supplies
  • Lasting Impressions cardstock, templates, brads, and scuffers
  • Ribbon
  • Paper Trey stamps
  • Cuttlebug dies
  • Rub-ons from MM, and Wordsworth
  • Stamps from TAC
  • Giga and Mega punches
  • White Gel Pen
  • MM chipboard and paints

Mini Scrapbook

I bought this kit quite a while back. It's made from Lasting Impressions. The kit "supposedly" came with everything you need to make the scrapbook. I, of course, had to add
my own touches with stamps and other supplies. I will be loading more pages so they will be somewhat out of order. The one on the top of this page is the front. The very back page is like a tri-fold card. It folds in on itself twice. The inside back is the picture at the bottom of this post--the end of the album.

Some good news...

So last week I had some horrible news. The stress was really high, not only because of the news I received, but also because I had to take my RN (NCLEX) exam... I think all of it was just too much for me to handle! But this week I am sooooo happy to announce that I passed my exam and am now a licensed RN! YAY!! It feels sooo good to have something I have been working so hard for come full circle. Its over!!! Its almost hard for me to believe that I don't have to come home and STUDY, or prepare for an exam!!
