Birthday Bear

Today was a very relaxing Easter. We didn't do much. The kids are sick with another bug... So we didn't go anywhere. I had a little time to make this little box. The stamp is a new stamp by Whipper Snapper... Birthday Bear... He's sooo cute! The box was a pattern that I have had for AGES! The template is made by Darcie's Country Folk. The measurements are 4.25" x 5.5" x .75"... I think I bought this template about 7-8 years ago at a rubber stamp convention. For my SBS10 sistahs, this is one of a few samples I have up my sleeve for our challenge. The challenge is to use something you haven't used since you bought it, or something you haven't used in a long time! This one, even though my pattern is old, is not the one I had intended for this challenge--just FYI!

On the corners of the transparency sheet, I used my scallop circle punch cut into quarters using SU Pixie Pink CS, and glued to the inside of the box..

The recipe:
  • SU Bashful Blue, Pixie Pink,W White CS
  • Transparency sheet
  • Whipper Snapper Birthday Bear
  • Stampin Up retired It's Your Birthday set
  • Copic markers
  • Stickles
  • SU Ballet Blue ink
  • SU Black marker
  • Scallop Circle Punch

San Juans

Here are a few pics from our trip to the San Juan Islands... The days were cloudy, but still beautiful! The picture of the Olympic Mountains is through the clouds... It was very majestic looking! The picture doesn't do justice!

Back in a bit..

I just got back from a wonderful weekend in the San Juan Islands in WA state. My husband and I had a very relaxing time! The weather was great and we got some awesome views of the Olympic mountains on the peninsula. We had a good time, and got back just in time for my birthday... The bummer is that I caught some sort of bug while we were there so today I have the blahs. And to top it off I got one less hour of sleep--ick! Hopefully this week I can muster up enough energy to make a card or two. I'm really missing it! I just got some new toys that I'm itching to try out, so I'll be back later to share!

Dirty Dog!

I had a little time to play today... I just bought this cute little dirty dog stamp from Whipper Snapper.. He's so stinkin cute! It took me a while to come up with a saying that would fit this. I thought it turned out pretty good. The card is 5.5 x 5.5.. I swear, it takes me forever to find the right papers, stamps, supplies, etc just to do ONE CARD!! I get going with an idea and for whatever reason the whole thing goes in a different direction! Anyone else feel like that? anyway, here's what I came up with.

The doggone recipe:
  • SU Creamy Caramel, Choc Chip, Brilliant Blue, W White CS
  • SU Jersey Shore DP, KI memories striped paper
  • Whipper Snapper stamp
  • Quickutz Sunshine alpha
  • American Crafts ribbon
  • Prismacolor and gamsol
  • Circle punch and paw print punch (Paper Shapers)
