Can't Wait!!!

For the past 7 months I have been working with a home health agency as a case manager. I have totally loved working with my patients. But, I have been working an average of 50-60 hours per week. It has been really difficult to have a life (to say the least!)!! Wellllll, I have secured a new position working in the schools and I'm really excited about it! It means I will have normal hours and I won't have to bring my work home with me! Part of the reason why I decided to become a nurse is to decrease my hours worked in a week--not increase!!! With this job I will have time to be me again! I have so many plans in my crafting future!!! I have about a 2 week break in between jobs that is going to be great!! I'll be able to slam out some of my Halloween ideas that have been brewing in my head for a while now!! I have one more week of pure torture and then I'm DONE!!!!! It will be so nice to not have to bring home a computer and chart for hours every night. Anyway... stay tuned 'cause I'm gonna be posting some fun stuff! I just bought a bunch more DVD tins from Effectuality again. I also bought some other things from there too. I think you will like what I have in store!!

Shaggy Frankie!

Here's my take on Frankie boy for Halloween. He has a shag doo! These are fun to make. I wrapped a box of Gobstoppers with Wild Wasabi. I thought he turned out kinda cute! Funny thing..... the gobstoppers are coming out of the side of his head... like he is losing his marbles!! LOL

Heres what I used: Wild Wasabi, W White, B Black, Lovely Lilac CS, stickles, copic pen, Wild Wasabi Ink, white gel pen, Cuttlebug circle dies.

Poodle meets craft room!

This was too funny not to share!! My daughter is always messing around with the camera. She staged Buddy in the craft room with the feather boa. Definitely the poodle style! LOL Even more funny... he sat still for about 10 minutes while she was messing around with the camera!!

Feel Better

For the longest time I have had already-colored images on my desk. I finally challenged myself to use one. The stamp is from Whipper Snapper--BooBoo Bear. Love that little guy! He is colored with prismacolor pencils (of course). All solid colored CS is from SU. The BG paper is Lasting Impressions, along with the button. Feel Better soon sentiment is from MFT. Also used on this card are: ribbons and cord, blue gems, white signo pen, and stickles.

Spooky Greetings

I had some time to play today. I can't believe Halloween is just around the corner!! Holy cow! Where did the year go?

This is a card I made with a Halloween set from CC Designs. I love this set!! I broke out my new Cuttlebug embossing folders. I guess the holiday ones are special edition folders?? I'm not sure about that, but that's what I heard. I used the spider web as the background.

Here are some other supplies I used:

  • SU Pumpkin, Vanilla, and B Black CS
  • Cardstock by Bazzill
  • Lasting Impressions brads
  • MM bat brad
  • MFT Halloween stamps
  • CC Designs Stamps
  • Ribbon and cording
  • Distressor
  • Word window punch
  • Prismacolor pencils and gamsol
