Give Thanks

It's been a while since I've been able to stamp! I actually painted this a while ago and just didn't put it together on a card. I used SU watercolor crayons with the Autumn Harvest set. And I used regular watercolor paper with an aqua painter. The only thing on this that was a bit tedious was the masking. I thought it turned out pretty! On the corners I used antique copper brads and mounted everything to the card using SU dimensionals.

Here's the recipe:

  • SU Chocolate Chip CS and ink
  • Natural Confetti CS, Watercolor paper, Pumpkin Bazzill CS
  • SU Watercolor Crayons
  • Aqua Painter
  • MM Antique Copper Brads
  • Corner punch
  • SU Linen
  • Cuttlebug dies
  • Stampin Up dimensionals
We are really starting to feel the effects of Fall outside. Usually, here in the NW, we get foggy mornings by early October. And we are just now starting to have them. The trees here are turning such beautiful colors! My daughter and I went down to the lake yesterday and took some really pretty pictures of the leaves on the trees and the lake. It was perfect....and unseasonably warm! At least in my opinion!

Give thanks

I'm posting this early for all of our Canadian blogger friends.... Happy Thanksgiving! And Happy early Thanksgiving to all of us in the states. It will be here before we know it! I'm soooo not ready yet! And I'm really disappointed that the stores are selling Christmas stuff in OCTOBER!!! I'm getting the impression that we will be celebrating Christmas from July to the end of the year.. sometime in the near future! It takes the enjoyment out of a special season. I wish we could boycott that somehow! And what about the day after Thanksgiving?? The nail-biting, cat-fighting, mow-your-neighbor-down-to get-the-best-deal Day?!? They take the fun out of everything! LOL

Ok, back to this cute little card....
I love this little turkey! He is sooo festive!

On this card, not only did I emboss the cut-out pieces, but the cinnamon background piece is embossed with leaves also... a little hard to tell against all of the scuffed embossing. Enjoy!

The recipe:
  • SU Close to Cocoa CS
  • Lasting Impressions CS and templates
  • LI scuffers
  • SU dimensionals
  • SU linen thread
  • corner rounder
  • Making Memories rub-ons
