Baby Shower Thanks..

This was one of my trial Thank You cards.. I decided to go with the other set because this would have been too time consuming. The image is from Gina K and the sentiment is from Paper Trey.
I used my cuttlebug die for the baby pins and attached them to the ribbon with the tag. The image is colored in with Copics and stickles used on the buttons and baby. I used the Cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder for the background. Other supplies used: Nestabilities scalloped square, Pink Pirouette, Positively Pink, and W White CS, Lasting Impressions Buttons.

I broke down and made one of these tonight. Is it just me or does it take you forever to pick out your color scheme/paper/supplies?? I swear it takes me forever. I think it is because I have too many ideas running around that I just don't know where to start. I love this DP from SU but just have never used it. This was perfect. I also broke out my nestabilities and used them. I finally got everything organized on my craft desk so that I can just grab what I need and go!! It is so nice having a craft room!! Birthday Business

I just bought these fab sets from CC Designs. The monkey is from It's My Birthday set. I love these monkies!! I had to throw together a quick card for my great-nephew's 2nd birthday. He is so stinkin' cute and such a monkey! I thought the card was perfect for him. If I would have had more time I would have added more. The star came from Jody Morrow's sticky sale stars.

Big happy birthday

I made this sweet little card for my daughter. She absolutely loves elephants. This adorable ((BIG)) stamp is from Whipper Snapper. It is colored in with Copics. I love the richness of the colors, but I definitely need some practice with these! Things have been slowing down just a bit for me so hopefully I will get more of a chance to stamp today and tomorrow. Have a great weekend and hopefully no one gets more snow! We have record late snow this year. I have NEVER seen snow this late in the year here in the NW. It is not sticking by any means, but it's still snow!! I hear Hawaii calling my name! I need some sunshine! Enjoy!!
The recipe:

  • Cuttlebug dies
  • Photo corner punch
  • Piercing tools

Double pocket cards

AHHH! I finally have some time to post something!! I just spent the last 48 hours trying to find my camera... there's nothing more irritating than trying to find something someone else hid! Things have been going so fast for me lately. I hardly have time to do anything!!! Here's a couple of double pocket cards that I came up with. The teal one is made from Heidi Grace papers and rub-ons. The peach one is made with Paper Trey's On a Limb set, and Chatterbox cardstock.

Glittered Penguin

Here is another attempt at the glittered Cuttlebug. I have several card fronts ready for me to decorate... I just have to find the time! A one day weekend just does not suffice when it comes to wanting to do something for myself. I've been working a 2 on, 1 off schedule lately.. Only having one day breaks makes it hard just to catch up on housework let alone try to craft! Anyway, I decided to use Groovy Guava to try a different color scheme on a winter card. I don't think the picture does this one justice. If it was sunny or I had a nice photo box it would look so much better! It is sooo sparkley (is that a word? LOL).

Here's what I used:

  • SU Groovy Guava, Barely Banana, W White CS
  • SU Vanilla grosgrain ribbon
  • Cuttlebug embossing folder and die
  • Whipper Snapper penguin stamp
  • Paper Trey's Square Corners and Borders
  • Stickles--lots of stickles
  • Brayer, SU pastel glitter, Tsukineko glue pad
  • SU Groovy Guava ink
  • Corner Rounder
  • Dimensionals

Guava thanks

On this one I used the Linen background stamp from Stampin Up (you'll have to click on the picture to see it closer). It was stamped in Guava, stamped off onto other paper once and then stamped onto Vanilla CS. It is layered on Artichoke and Chocolate and then again on Guava. The stamps are from SU's retired Noteworthy and Paper Trey's Faux Ribbon set. Accents are copper and guava ribbon (Martha Stewart)...

Penguin thanks

I guess I'm still not done with my winter stamps! After all, it's still winter! I love this little penguin from Whipper Snapper. On this one, I used prismacolor pencils to color in with gamsol. The white parts of his outfit have Tulip White puffy paint on them, splashed with some stickles. SU inks and CS used include: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Craft White (whisper white). SU stamp sets used are The Snowflake spot, Snow jumbo wheel. Also used is Paper Trey's Faux Ribbon set for the sentiment. Punches: Word Window, corner punch and sizzix snowflake dies. The snowflake on the card is tied onto the ribbon with irridescent cord and is not glued down. Hope you like!

The background was stamped with SU's Linen background in Pomegranate ink on Pomegranate CS. Also included are SU Wasabi stitched ribbon, irridescent cord, cuttlebug tag dies and Regal Rose ink (for shading)

I finally did it! I made a criss cross card! I also got a chance to play with this Chatterbox coordinating DP that I have been wanting to play with for eons.... The base of this card is made with Bazill CS. I got busy making this and then realized, after trying to get a perfect match for colors, that last years SU vintage violet was perfect for this!!
The paisley is from Technique Tuesday's Paisley set (can't remember the name)... the crimped band is made from the flip side of one of the coordinates in the set of Chatterbox DP.
I really like the layout of this card. It's definitely one I will be using again!

The recipe:
  • Bazzill CS, SU W White
  • Chatterbox coordinating DP
  • SU vintage viloet inks
  • SU vintage violet stitched ribbon, and amethyst organdy
  • crimper
  • SU Priceless stamp set ( flower)
  • Technique Tues Paisley set
  • Paper Trey Faux Ribbon set
  • Tab punch (SU), and corner rounder

Thanks card

I had to steer away from my Halloween frenzy for a bit to make a thank you card. I have had this Linen Designer paper sitting around for a while and finally decided to use it. I also pulled out my Technique Tuesday line designs. I REALLY love this set! The more I used the stitching stamp the more I fell in love with it. I am also an avid quilter, so actually using my sewing machine for paper stitching is unfathomable to me. It ruins the machine and dries the shaft up which, in turn, can cause it to make some really funky noises! But in any case I really LOVE this stitching stamp. I also love it because I don't have to find different colors of thread (another thing I would have to collect all colors of, of course) to use for stitching. In any case, I can definitely see me using this fun stamp alot in the future!

The recipe:
  • SU Choc Chip, Cameo Coral, Vanilla, Creamy Caramel CS and Linen Designer Paper
  • SU Choc Chip, Cameo Coral inks
  • SU Heartfelt Thanks Stamp Set
  • Technique Tuesday's stitching set (don't know the name off hand)
  • Paper Trey's Paper Tray Stamp set
  • Martha Stewart ribbon
  • MM Antique copper brads

Whippersnapper Moose

Well, I can't get away from this really great cardstock from Scenic Route. I love the colors that they used in this set. And the great thing is that the new Blue Bayou and Soft Sky go great with it!!

On this one I used crystal effects (although you cannot see it) on the glasses. I also used some black glitter glue (like stickles but from Michaels) on the music notes.

Moose card recipe:

  • Whippersnapper Moose stamp
  • Stampin Up Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Apricot Appeal, W White
  • Scenic Route CS
  • Prismacolor pencils and gamsol
  • SU B Black and Apricot Appeal inks
  • SU Font
  • Word Window Punch
  • unknown ribbon, Martha Stewart cording
  • MM brads
  • Paper Trey Faux Ribbon set
  • Cuttlebug dies
  • Turquoise stickles, black glitter glue
  • Crystal Effects

Thank You to Kristine Reynolds for pointing out that this stamp was from Whippersnapper. I must have been asleep while posting this!!
